PayPal Checkout opens a small window

I have integrated our form onto our website. On a desktop, when processing the PayPal payment, a new small box pops up over the form (a new browser window for PayPal). It is easy to think, when you need to scroll down to enter more information, that you should use the scroll bar on the far right (the original browser). Then, of course, the small browser window suddenly disappears and you are now looking at a big scary black box. If you simply click the black box, the small browser pops back up.

This is confusing and frustrating those trying to use our form because it seems as though all your payment information has suddenly vanished. Is there a way to direct to PayPal through a new tab rather than a small new window?

    Thank you!

I tried the Paypal Checkout Integration and it is working fine. I think this is how Paypal Checkout Integration works, it would open a small window where you need to authenticate your Paypal account.

If you want your form to redirect to Paypal's checkout page, you can use the Paypal (Standard) tool. So when you submit the form, it would redirect to Paypal's page where you need to complete the payment. You can also use Paypal Pro if you want users to pay directly straight from your form without any popup.

PayPal standard did not work with our form so your support team walked my colleague through putting in PayPal check out.

Sorry, I just realized you have a thread about Paypal Standard here https://www.jotform.com/answers/1913855. My colleague has replied to it and your form worked fine during his test. The form redirects to Paypal's page after submitting it.

Anyway, with regards to your concern, there's no option to change it to a new tab at the moment most probably because the window needs to connect again with the form after authentication. The black box is actually a dim style when the popup window appears, after that, it should disappear and shows the form just like on my previous screencast. This works fine on any browser. If possible, can you ask your users to try again? You may also suggest using a different browser. In case you've embedded the form, let us know the website URL containing the form so we can test it here.
