Collecting SSN on encrypted forms

Hi,

I created a form that requires the user to submit his/her Social Security Number and other information protected by the Privacy Act of 1974.  How do I encrypt the form to make it secure?

Please note that based on our Terms of Use, you may not use the JotForm Service to collect certain types of sensitive information, including but not limited to, credit card information and any type of login credentials.

You may collect some sensitive information such as social security numbers or driver’s license numbers, but you are required to use best security practices of JotForm, Inc. including SSL and Encrypted Forms features. You are solely responsible for compliance with any data protection and privacy laws and rules applicable to the sensitive information.

I can see that your form 92375785201157 is not encrypted. Please refer to this guide on how to create an Encrypted Form.

You also need to add an agreement and signature widget that lets your user provide you an authorization to collect and store this sensitive data.

I set the toggle switch to encrypt new forms in settings, but I continue to receive responses to my e-mail, which, unless I am mistaken, isn't secure.
