Forms in different browesers not the same

Asked by skech on March 29, 2011 at 03:07 PM

I have created a few forms for my own website and the fields appear as different widths on different browsers, I mostly use opera v11.01 to do the design of the forms and the fields look as they were designed when the forms are viewed in opera but in Firefox and IE, chrome and safari the fields are different widths.

The forms are located at: www.sketchprinting.com

Is there a way of resolving this?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi there,

    Thank you for using jotform!

Unfortunately, this issue plagued web-designers for years, “How to make webpages look the same on different browsers?”. Usually developers tested their site’s using the browser quartet(Firefox,IE,Safari,Chrome). This was mostly because these are the main stream players. Displaying your webpage layout usually has something to do with your CSS file (Cascading style sheet). But, in some cases they are displayed differently between browsers. The workaround to this was to try and detect the user’s browser via Javascript then use the preconfigured CSS file for that. Try to look into this and see if you could integrate this on your site. Otherwise, you are better off using one of the 4 more popular browsers as your default

    Hope this answers your question.
