How to prevent user from selecting slots that are taken?

    Ok, just tried using the gift registry widget which your team mentioned previously might be helpful. We need to actually be able to prevent people from selecting the course when the available slots are taken--it does not look like this will accomplish this. Or am I missing something?

    The Quantity Gift widget will mark the item as Unavailable when it reached the allocated threshold. So I think this satisfies the requirement.

    If you have a different requirement in mind, please let us know so we could look for other possible workarounds.

    How do I combine the gift widget with a multiple choice question? It seems to show up as a separate entity. I want to use the form calculation that you demonstrated here: https://form.jotform.com/92397415977979 along with the gift widget to limit enrollment in each class. Thanks!

    Yes you are correct, each question is a separate entity. On my colleagues cloned form, the gift registry widgets have the following limits.

    Flag Football {20}

    Stop Motion Animation Lab {14}

    Junior Explorers {12}

    Chess {20}

    You can change the numbers to your desired limit.

    Can you please elaborate on what exactly is your intended outcome?

    Like if user selects:

    Flag Football Quantity = 2

    Monday Club = Flag Football $130

    So Total Fee should be 260?

    At the same time, you still want to limit the total chances that Flag Football be selected to only a certain number, like 20?

    Please advise if this is the scenario you are looking for so I can make a demo form for you.

    Hi Vanessa

    Yes, I think you are describing correctly what I want. We will only deal with quantities of 1 since we will have a separate form for each child. So if the user selects Junior Explorers for Monday Clubs, and Cookie/Cupcake Decorating for Tuesday Clubs, the form has to calculate the total price (225 + 160) and also deduct one available spot from each of those clubs. I didn't know how to get the gift registry to recognize that a particular class was being selected. Is there a way to populate the registry items with the multiple choice items so the form will recognize when a class is selected. thanks.

    Good day,

    What you are describing, sounds like you need to use 'slots' fields for classes too. We have a guide on setting up forms to sell limited stocks. Please take a look through it to see if that is what you need: How-to-Setup-a-Payment-Order-Form-with-Limited-Stocks
