Google Calendar: How to set the start time and end time?

    Hi There,

I have two fields in my form (check in date, and check out date) - its for accommodation.

I have this integrated with our Google Calendar so that once the form is submitted, the booking blocks the calendars with those start and end dates.

However I specifically want the event to start at 4pm for the check in start time, and 10am for check out end time. (Currently it is creating ALL DAY events, which I don't want.)

How can I add this feature, and also make sure it is the same timezone as what my calendar requires?

    Thank you

    Ivy

The display will be like that if you set the view option to "Month". Also, you will need to enable the "Time" option for your date field.

Once this is enabled, you can view the selected time if you edit the event.

I hope that helps. Let us know if you have any questions or if you need further assistance.

    Hi Jed,

Thanks that is a decent solution. I don't want to let the guests edit the time field though - as this is not option and I don't want them to think it is.  It possible to make the Date field editable, but not the time field?

The view in "Month" is not the issue, I have checked the view in weeks and by days as well.

    Thank you
    Ivy

To clarify, if let say I book September 1 - 5, the event will everyday starting September 1-5 will be from 4pm to 10am, so you want to show it per day not the entire booking event where it only shows the start and end time?

    Looking forward for your response.

    Hi Jed

No that's not what we mean.

The single event should run from 4pm on check in date, and 10am check out day. What i'm saying is - I'm worried that by putting these times in the form, it will allow the person filling the form to be able to edit this. I don't want that. So how do I block the ability to edit the time?

    Thanks you!

    Hello Ivy,

Unfortunately, once the Time in the Date picker field is enabled, you may not be able to restrict respondents from editing it.

Nonetheless, I am investigating to see if there could be a way around this. Soon, I will let you know what I am able to come up with.

    Thanks.
