Why the number of form response in the form analytics and submissions is not matched?

Why there is a discrepancy of number of responses in the actual form and what is reported in the Form Analytic?

Analytic reports more than what we actually receive.

The form analytics record form responses when the user clicks the submit button. Since your form unique submission/question is enabled, it is possible that your user tried to submit an application twice with the same answer to your unique question.
