How do I use the color scheme on the form designer effectively?

I have a form that was working but now text does not appear bc it populates as white text. The text is set to be black in advanced designer

You can reset the form design by clicking any of the color scheme templates on the advanced designer. The color scheme helps set a large color gradient between form, input background, and the font color. 

See image below for the color scheme templates:

On clicking the first one (dark font on white background), the form will take that look below:

But if the background color, the input background, form color, and font color are tweaked, it would give you custom view, but ensure that the gradients of color are obvious enough to make texts obvious upon input. Below is a screenshot of a tweaked form:

I'm not following. I want a dark form with text that appears in the fields

i really need some support on this. It was working just fine and not it isnt 

Changing the color scheme does not work either

It seems the text is displaying without any issue. Could you please tell still you wish to make any changes?
