So sorry but I can not figure out how to get the form to (1) subtotal, (2) add $3 shipping per shirt and (3) total the order. Also when I added the submit button it showed me a thank you page...will it automatically go to my paypal account when live or do I need to do something else. Once again thank you in advance! Mary

I would recommend you to clear the current calculations from your form as they have errors, instead, kindly configure the widgets as follows:

    1. For the Quantity field, simply sum all the widgets:

    15689483882019 09 19 20h45 35 Screenshot 10

    2. Now, for your shipping field, the configuration of this element will depend on the way how you're calculating the shipping, for this example, I will calculate the shipping based on the total so what you would need to do is to add an additional widget called "Sub-Total" and include the Quantity field to perform the calculation so if your total is Quantity * 15, then add this formula.

Once you have the sub-total done, edit the shipping widget and include the sub-total and sum, for example, 12.

    3. To get the total simply sum the sub-total field + shipping.

Now, the formula changes for the sub-total field if your pricing changes per shirt size, for example, for small shirts the price is 15, but for medium it's 20, so the formula for the sub-total widget would be like:

    (small * 15) + (medium * 20)

Adding the rest of the sizes with their corresponding price, following the same formula.

At the end, you would only need to sum on the Total widget the sub-total + the shipping.

Also, to pass the total amount to the payment field, you should follow this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/275-How-to-Pass-a-Calculation-to-a-Payment-Field

Please note that the only thing to change on your form are the formulas and adding the sub-total Form Calculation widget.

Kindly give it a try and let us know if you have questions.

That's the Form Calculation widget, indeed, it needs to be added to your form as per the instructions above. You will find the widget on the add form element section, under the widgets tab. Here's a guide that will help you adding the widget to your form: https://www.jotform.com/help/252-How-to-Add-a-Widget-to-Your-Form

Kindly note, the widget it's not called "sub-total" as that's the label only for reference, the widget it's actually called "Form Calculation".

Before proceeding with any instructions that may be confusing, may we know how are you planing to set the prices on your form?

I mean, do you have an individual price per size or do you plan to have one price regardless the sizes selected?

I can see that you have 4 calculation widgets there: Quantity, SubTotal, Total, Shipping. And you also managed to enter a formula for Quantity and Shipping which is correct. Please consider adding this formula to the Subtotal:

And for the Total, just add the Subtotal and Shipping.

Please try that and let us know how it goes.

yeah that works...now how about the total that will go to paypal...do I need to add a form calculation? Would I just put subtotal + shipping in the calculation...could you please do another screen shot with what it is supposed to look like? All this makes me very tired...I'm a graphic designer who is terrible with math and caculations!

You don't need another calculation to pass the value of the Total to PayPal. But I can see that you already managed to map the Total field. It is already configured:

One thing I noticed is the calculation inside the Total widget. I think what you need to put there is only "Shipping + SubTotal":

As checked, you are using PayPal Standard. You can try switching to PayPal Checkout to be able to replace the submit button with PayPal.

But if you're okay with the current set up, you can just add a Submit button to the bottom of the form:
