I was also hoping to use this with the jotform app for Android and be able to just take a picture with the form, instead of taking the picture and uploading it onto the page. it just seems to have too many steps. hopefully this will be tweaked to do this.

This is a re-post of a comment on New Annotate Picture widget: Mark up images with ease

I believe you want the Annotate widget to allow you to take photos using the Android app apart from uploading existing photos, right?

This feature is available in iOS app upon testing.

Please confirm, so that we could forward this as a feature request to our backend team.

yes. but this is not with the settings. (although, it would be nice to take the picture instead of uploading a pic already taken)  This would be with using the form, get to the section to choose a picture, I would tap/click on the camera icon and I would be given the option to either select a picture that I already have or be able to take a picture and it would upload for the possibility to annotate.

I believe you are referring to the camera icon on the widget as shown below, right?

Yes, I checked that option and I was able to take a photo using the Android app.

Could you let us know how better you want this to function so that we could pass this on to our back end team?

Well, that is interesting. On my Android 9.0, Galaxy Note 9, it does not work this way.  In the app, I am given 2 options, Files and Capture image.  However, when I tap on capture image, nothing happens.  I don't have this problem in any other app, it that app has the ability to add an image file.

Thank you very much in advance for your helping me with this situation.

Thank you for providing us the additional info. I checked with another of my support team member and he was also not able to take a photo using the camera option.

Let me forward this issue to our backend team for investigation. We will keep you posted on updates via this thread.
