PDF Output templates carrying over text

    Good afternoon,

I have noticed that if we create a custom template of a form, and then go to use that template, it copies over the same text widgets as the original form we created the template from.

Is there a way to create a template but have it use the content in the text box from the form it Is for instead of the form the template was built off?

    Good afternoon @HuttonSafetyGroup!

From what I understand, your PDF document has fields from the form that was used as a template and does not have updated fields which are relevant to the current form. Does this happen for all fields or just the Text fields? It is possible that when you access the PDF document on the new form you will see the following message:

Click on the green Yes, Proceed button. If the fields are still not updated in the PDF file, I would suggest cloning the form instead of using it as a template. Here is the guide on how to clone forms: How-to-Clone-an-Existing-Form-from-a-URL. After you have cloned the form and made the necessary changes in the Form Builder, select the new form on My Forms page, click on More>Create PDF Document. The new PDF document should reflect the changes and updates made to the form.

    Hey there,

So when I click the Yes to Proceed button, it completely jumbles the formatting of the PDF output and also adds back in any fields that I deleted from the output, down to the bottom.
