How can I change a form field from email to text

I have built a form with many dependent fields.  While building the form I copied an inserted field for email, and changed the question text, the placeholder, and hover text.  Now I discover that the entry field is requiring entry in the format of an email address.  Is there a way to change the type of field without having to create an all new entry?

I would like to apologize for any inconvenience. I'm afraid there is no option to disable the validation feature of the Email Address field as it is set by default. I would suggest that you update the fields to the appropriate field type based on your requirements.
