How do I handle 5000 products in the drop-down?

We have a client that would like to have a form in which a client will select what type of car battery they have (where we then have an assigned baseline value) and then according to market price (I envision a hidden field that admin can change according to the market.  Ex:  100 is base price, .98 would be less 2% and so forth) then the form kicks out a value based on this.  I have a simple form for this already here:  https://form.jotform.com/92727140467157

My question is that this client has like 5,000 product listings for batteries. A. Does a drop down menu have a max? What about a search? Is there a widget or app that would better handle this type of use case with a large amount of products?

You can check out the Autocomplete field.

The auto-complete field provides suggestions while you type into the field. This will ease the process of filling out a form. If you have a dropdown list of more than 100 entries, the dropdown becomes unusable for the users. So, it is recommended to use an autocomplete field in such a case.

    Thanks.
