    FilePicker.io not working on Ipad

Asked by pineapplex on April 01, 2013 at 06:15 AM

I have been testing FilePicker.io with a JotForm form and it doesn't work on Ipad. Well, concretely, it works if you want to use to link with an image on the cloud (dropbox, box, gmail, etc.) but the most important thing for me (upload from local storage) is not working.

Please, do you have any solution to this issue? If not, I think it will be important to inform clearly in your website about this incompatibility.

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

That's one of iPads browser limitation. Probably an issue with iPad safari browsers. I would suggest to try other browsers that supports online uploads like Firefox, Chrome or iCab (few iOS users suggested to use iCab as it supports file uploads.)

    Thank you!

It's not a solution for me. I can't  force thousands of users to use a concrete browser. I need an "universal" solution.

Sorry for not clarifying it well. Actually this is not an issue with JotForm but rather a browser limitation with mobile safari browser. There's some news that iOS6 browser supports it but it still has limitations in it. You may find this news helpful: http://pleasefixthat.com/2011/03/mobile-safari-the-broken-file-upload-field.html

Unfortunately, since that's an issue with apple browsers, there is nothing we can do about it.

Hope this clarifies a bit. Thank you!
