    How to remove form address field labels from email alert

    Asked by LeoC2 on April 01, 2013 at 05:02 PM

    Emailed info label changes

    When using the Quick Tools fields such as the Full Name and the Address the resulting email data looks somethinglike this:

    John Doe
    Street Address: 1 Elm St.
    City: Anytown
    State / Province: NY
    Postal / Zip Code: 11801
    Country: United States

    Is there a way to remove the labels so we get this:

    John Doe
    Elm St.
    Anytown, NY 11801
    United States

    That makes it a lot easier to cut and paste the data into a database for example.

    Thank you for contacting us.

    This is possible. You will need to adjust the email notification template:

    How to Strip Headers from Postal Addresses in Email Alerts

    {address14:addr_line1}, {address14:addr_line2}
    {address14:city}, {address14:state} {address14:postal}

    instead of standard (tag 'address14' name can be different, it is based on the field label)

    Please feel free to contact us if you need any further assistance.

    Thanks! Works like a charm. One thing though, I have the hide blank field option enabled but it doesn't seem to work. Not a biggie but it would be nice if it did.

    You are welcome. The hide empty fields option is not working on custom email notifications at this time. However, we have received multiple similar inquiries from JotForm users, so it will be probably implemented at some point. Thank you.
