How Can i create a Jotform Approval Process Workflow?

I divided my form into tabbed sections for different users to fill out as part of a workflow. I'd like the person who enters part 2, to be shown the part 2 tab as soon as they click on "edit submission."

Since user 1 will have already filled out part 1, I do not want user 2 to get confused and re enter information into section 1.

It looks like what you're trying to achieve is similar to Jotform approval workflow process.

Can you please take a look at this guide and see if that's what you're looking for?

Hi, No that is not what I need. I need the section 1 to gray out so that user 2 cannot go back and change section 1.

    Hello,

Thank you for the clarification. It is possible to pass forms to multiple users without accessing the previous section of the form. What you can do is to:

    1. Add an Edit Link in the autoresponder email on your form

    2. After setting up the autoresponder email follow this guide,  How to Let Users Update Their Form Submissions at a Later Date.

In that way, when you add the Edit Link in the autoresponder then the first user submitted the form, the autoresponder contains the link that the second user can click to edit the submission. The link that will be accessed by the 2nd user will redirect them to the 2nd tab of your form.

I checked your form and I can see that you have set conditions to prevent user 2 accessing the 1st section of your form.

That should work fine. But if you want user 2 not to access the first section you can also hide all the fields in Section 1 of your form.

    Example:

I hope this helps. Let us know if this doesn't meet your requirements.

In addition, if you just don't want user 2 to edit section 1 of your form, you can refer to this guide: How-to-Enable-Disable-Fields-Using-Conditional-Logic

Thank you! I used the disable fields conditional logic and it worked for my needs.
