Is there any way to make fields that were mandatory not mandatory in order for the form to be saved and finished at a later time. I am utilizing the link-edit capability. I don't want to duplicate everything and use conditional formatting because the fields will have already been edited prior to that question. The save feature comes later in the form in case they can't finish and would like to finish later. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I am not sure if you are aware of it already. But the save form and continue later is already built in to the form. It is in advance settings.
1. Click Setup & Embed
3. Advanced Settings
4. Continue Forms Later
From what I understand, the fields being mandatory or not, is not actually preventing the user from continuing the saved form later...
Perhaps what you meant to do is -- another person will edit the saved form? Meaning, different users can edit a saved form before it can be finally submitted by anyone.
The edit link or edit mode, is only available for submitted form. Unless the form is submitted, it cannot be edited using the edit link or edit button in submissions page. Submission is required for the form to become editable in edit mode.
