    Incomplete Field Error... But Fields are Filled

    Asked by sweetsoulsister on April 02, 2013 at 01:03 AM

    Hi

    When testing my form I'm getting an error that "There are incomplete required fields. Please complete them." when there are no required fields that have not been filled.

    I've cleared the cache, restarted my browser, repasted the code into my web page, and looked all over for what it could be ( I did not use the digital signature element).

    It worked nicely before.

    Can you please tell me what it could be?

    Much Appreciated!

    PS. I vaguely recall testing out the conditions feature (this is my first form) but when I click on it now, there is no option to view saved conditions - so I don't think I have any.

    I checked your form and see that its working fine. I realized that if you dont enter any text in your "Share your problems or concerns here. I'm listening...*" the validation is triggered. It appears that you have some text there which is actually a hint text.

    Can you please enter some text in this field and try to submit your form. I was able to do that and was redirected to thank you page.

    Thanks,

    Sidharth

    Thanks for your help.

    When I first tried it, it still didn't work, but the error message was more specific, about a field at the bottom of my text box - which does not look like a field but rather a decorative pink line in the theme.

    (See Screenshot) at : http://sweetsoulsister.deviantart.com/art/JotForm-ScreenShot-363117612?ga_submit_new=10%253A1364924486

    I can't adjust just that field in the Form Editor. When I changed the text box properties, and made the text box NOT REQUIRED, it disapears and form works fine.

    What is this field and how would anyone fill it in, when you can't type into it?

    It would be nice to have it set so the text box does have to contain content to be sent - but that turns on the 'pink bar' field at the bottom which doesn't accept input but needs to be filled?

    Thank-you for your help :)

    I did not see an option to upload screenshot and so am trying to insert via the image thing but does not seem to be working... if not please go to the address provided Thank-You.  The image tool keeps giving me a 'broken link icon' screenshot

    @sweetsoulsister

    I checked your screenshot. Thats validation error message for your field ""Share your problems or concerns here. I'm listening...*"

    Can you try to remove yor hint text from this field and see if you continue to have this issue.

    Thanks,

    Sidharth

    Thank-you!

    The text field is required but with no 'hint text' it works fine.

    Can you please confirm for me, since I'm here... Do I need to re-embed the iFrame code each time I change the form for it to reflect updates or can I just change and save the form?

    @sweetsoulsister,

    No, just leave the form iframe codes as it is. It will automatically updated once you made some changes.

    Thanks
