Drop Box Link Intergration On Submission email

Asked by qldcoaching on April 02, 2013 at 03:37 AM

    Hi,

First off i really like the services you provide to getting a website form up and running.

I am looking to create a hard link to a shared link for a part of a dropbox folder when someone submits an upload using one of your forms. the main reason for this is so that i can keep as much space free on your webserver (I dont see he use in having the same file in two locations that I really will have full read write access to.)

What i am trying to accomplish is to have a form on our state website that allows users to submit questions and uploads to the coaching directorite (Committee of volenteers) that are then answered.

i have hard coded the linking I require in the submission email the only issue is that when i get the data {fullname3} for my link it shows with a space between the names in the body of the email but no space in the link

    Example:

    {fullName3} = John Smith

Name: John Smith (Data From {fullName3})

    link https://www.dropbox.com/....../JohnSmith

Is it possible to code the link as #first_3%20#last_3 (#first_3 and #last_3 are the id of each field with %20 being space)

any questions or quieries feel free to email'

    thanks

    Mitchell

    Hi there,

    You mentioned the following:

"I am looking to create a hard link to a shared link for a part of a dropbox folder when someone submits an upload using one of your forms. the main reason for this is so that i can keep as much space free on your webserver (I dont see he use in having the same file in two locations that I really will have full read write access to.)"

To clarify, even if you have a dropbox integration, only a copy of the data is sent to your dropbox.  you would still have the data in our servers.

As per the URL coding, unfortunately, this is not something that we have the liberty to edit.

Would using two separate text fields in stead of a full name field be of help?

Perhaps, if you were able to further explain how it is that your process will work, we may be able to come up with possible solutions.
