Problems With JotForm for Dropbox With BlackBerry

I created a Web form with Dropbox functionality to be able to upload large files from my BlackBerry Bold 9780 (running BB OS 6) to my Dropbox account.

Form loads perfectly but when I select a file to upload I get an error message within the form that says the file I am trying to upload is "empty."  I get this error message for all file types, all sizes.

    Any suggested workarounds?

    Hi There,

    Thank you for using JotForm!

I’ve looked into this a little bit and I think this has something to do with the browser you are using. Has this happened before? If yes then this confirms it. Now, in order for us to make sure what the exact cause is. Please send us additional information about what browser you are using. Obviously your form is working on regular browsers so see if you can look into installing or using a different one on your phone.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks. I've tried Opera and Bolt on my BlackBerry and also then tried the standard Safari browser on iOS 4.3 on an iPod 4G on wifi and none of these mobile browsers work, either. None allow me to find a file on my device and then upload it.

    Hi Kevin,

I'd like to know how big is the file that you're trying to upload? If you upload a smaller file, maybe a few kbs in size, does the same error message show up? I've been googling around and found a few Blackberry forums that say there is a limit in the file upload capacity of Blackberry devices.

We'll wait for your response, we're eager to identify a solution or at least a workaround for you. Thank you for using JotForm!

Thanks for your response.  I tried this with multiple files and file types of all sizes to test that premise. Got same error message for every file no matter the type or size.

Is this the first time this happened? Have you tried other websites on these phone platforms that allow you to upload files via your browser?

We’ll wait for your reply. We just need to isolate the issue and see what’s causing it. Thank you!

PS. I’ve done some research on some mobile browsers and it seems that most of these do not allow you to upload files. Only way you can is to have an app that directly allows you to do just that.
