Can you define a sort order in the html table report?

    Hi, I have created a report based on the html table format and I would like to change to sort on a custom date column called Event Date instead of the submission date. Is there any way to define custom sort in the html format report any other format besides RSS?  Your forms have been a tremendous help to our nonprofit.  We have a couple of projects planned and I am greatful for jotforms making it easy for us to manage project tasks.

    An HTML table report has a function to sort the submission entries. You will see that sorting functionality in the header section of your report. This is enabled for every field.

    Hi, Thanks for reply...Although I do find the sorting functionality most helpful,  it is not intuitive for everyone who views the report. We have a pretty low tech group of end users.  I was hoping to define a primary sort column within the report. That way the sort would be based the form's Event Date column and not the submission date column by default. I can always make a note with screen shot for those who are reading the report.  We love jotform service, it's been most helpful in managing our projects.

    Hi, 

    I can understand where the inadequacy is coming from. I also experienced the same case when I used google spreadsheet integration as means of generating the report. For some still not a verified reason, the google spreadsheet sort function is also useless on some scenario because it would not save.

    I have a test google report here. But every time I add new submission it would not follow the First Name sorting.

    I am sharing you this idea because maybe you will be able to find in your own way how to save that sorting filter in google spreadsheet.

    Another means I know to have a static sort for the submissions report is using the Excel report. If you have the means to publish the Excel or embed the excel into your web page, then the excel sort function is saveable. So, your sort filter in your excel file will be reflected in the embedded excel file.
