Previously my Dates in the Excel file uploaded to this widget, was able to display the Dates into a Short Text Field as text as seen in my Excel file,

But seems recently the widget now only shows the Date as serial numbers instead of Date format as in Excel.

Is there a way to have the widget display in Date format as per Excel?

    my test form: Text Excel

    thanks

The Spreadsheet to Form widget support only the fields which are mentioned in the guide. Could you please try populating the date into a Short Text Entry field instead of using the Date field?

I tried using the Short Text Entry field type in JotForm.. and importing my Excel column with dates into the form.. just like the previous from Goofy, they come up with date serial.

Is there a way around this?

What can we do to show an Excel column with a date inside, in the Jotform?  It would appear that Jotform always imports content of a cell as text.  Is this true?

Would we need to convert any column of data (ex. Dates) into text format within the column to use the widget?

    Thank you!

Could you share us with the form that you are working and a screenshot of the Excel spreadsheet with the date column and the Unique ID entered on the form so that we can check it further to assist you?

We will wait for your response. Thank you!

    Thank you!

I can only get the date to work if the XLS column for MoveIn is completely changed to a text column.. (Column C) if it remains as a date format (as in IT-Appt, column E), the date comes up with the "serial" or xls date counter number....

the Unique ID is the Mkt Value - Column M.. seems to work fine to link and populate other bits.

I can see the issue you are referring to. That's right, you'll need to make the date in your spreadsheet or Excel as plain text for it to work.

Currently, that's the only workaround so you can transfer the dates from excel to your form fields.
