A new Google Spreadsheet is being added on each form submission

Asked by IlyaBaturin on April 03, 2013 at 02:27 PM

    Hello!

First of all, thank you for such amazing product and high-quality support!

    And my issue is:

I have 2 forms, integrated with Google Spreadsheets.

The spreadsheet, linked to the first form (http://bezuslovno.com/clinpsy/anketa1.html), has only prior submissions for the moment of integration created but never updates after. Reintegration, cookies&cash cleaning, relogining are not affect. Speadsheets link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ate0VQXxlQhedHE2dWdjTEZhVnU5alVqREY1c1V4OEE&usp=sharing
NB: this form have conditional jumps and was modified several times (so, some first submissions miss some new fields).

For the second form (http://bezuslovno.com/clinpsy/anketa2.html) every new submission creates another one spreadsheets with the same name (anketa2): https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B9e0VQXxlQheMC1qRDJqUkViNUk&usp=sharing
NB: this form has more than 256 items, so submissions can't placed in spreadsheets completely.

And one more inconvinience is time difference: submission time is PT (?), and spreadsheets modify time is local (GMT+4).

    Help please!

    Hi,

From what I have checked so far, it seems you are using your form's source code embed.

Can you please tell us the need to do that? Can you not just use iframe embed or the default script embed?

If you are using the source code, there is a possibility that your embedded form is just not updated on the website which can cause disconnection to google integration.

    Please update us.

    Thanks.

    Hello!

I'm using source code embed because I need to use checkbox limitation script (http://www.jotform.com/answers/82892-Limit-checkbox-question-answers-to-three-only).

your embedded form is just not updated on the website
How can I make my form to update on the website?

Or maybe I can use checkbox limit script with another embed method?

PS. And why do my 2 forms (the both with source code embed) behave such different ways regarding integration?

The spreadsheet, linked to the first form (http://bezuslovno.com/clinpsy/anketa1.html), has only prior submissions for the moment of integration.

Today, our Developers have released a fix for this. Please re-check this from your side.

For the second form (http://bezuslovno.com/clinpsy/anketa2.html) every new submission creates another one spreadsheets.

I have forwarded a bug report ticket to our Development Team. We will get back to you if we get any updates on this.

And one more inconvinience is time difference: submission time is PT (?), and spreadsheets modify time is local (GMT+4).

You will need to change your account timezone to fix this. Go to Account -> Settings -> Timezone.

    Thank you.

Today, our Developers have released a fix for this. Please re-check this from your side.

Unfortunately I dont's see any changes. The spreadsheet has frozen after intgration and isn't updating.
BTW, it isn't updating neither after filling at my site, nor at jotformeu.com (preview mode).

You will need to change your account timezone to fix this

    Thank you. Done.

    Hi there,

    As per your question:

BTW, it isn't updating neither after filling at my site, nor at jotformeu.com (preview mode).

Can you please try to remove the integration and re-integrating to see if the issue continues?

    We'll wait for your response!

    Hello,

All the same still. I've reintegrated form (last time I've done it too), but neither from my website, nor from preview mode new submissions are not synchronized with google-docs.

PS. The second form also behave the same way. New submission creates new file.

Our developers will be able to look into this next week. If you are receiving a lot of submissions you should probably disable the integration temporarily.

    Ok. Thank you for support.

Should I leave my google-docs folder opened for your developers?

    Hi,

I also have found today the problem of a new file created with each submision.

I think this is new as it seems to have been working fine a week ago.

Please try to solve this soon as it is causing a lot of problems.

    Best,

    Pedro

    Hi guys!

Nothing changed with my issue. :(

The first form doesn't update a speadsheet. The second one creates new spreadsheet for each new submission.

    Hi,

In my thread the meintioned something about foreign characters being teh cause, but I created a new form with the same goreign characters and it worked fine. So there seems to be another reason.

    Best,

We apologize for missing to update this thread.

We've made fixes that resolved the issue on integrations creating a new spreadsheet everytime a form receives a submission.

If you continue to experience problems with your forms' integration to Google Spreadsheet, please do let us know.

    Thanks.
