    Hi,

I have noticed on a number of our forms that for some reason the PDF embedder widget doesn't seem to be working properly. It doesn't seem to load straight away (grey box) when completing the form. There doesn't seem to be an issue with the upload of the PDF. I have even re-uploaded and deleted the widget and uploaded again. When you click to another internet tab or click previous or next and then go back to the page the PDF has loaded.

What would be causing this. Thanks.

I believe you are referring to this Form:

I have updated the widget. Could you please check if you are still experiencing any further issues?

The PDF seems to be correctly displayed now.

    Thanks.

    Hi Jotform,
No, it does not seem to be rectified. We have the PDF embedder widget in
the form twice and the same problems is occurring across both.
It is also occurring on the following form.

    Hi,

I have deleted widget and uploaded again. Issue still seems to be there? It does appear when you click on another tab or outside of chrome and come back to the form. See below screenshot of console.

    Hi,
Yes, these forms are completed by our students/partners - so therefore it
has been tried on multiple computers and has had the same issue. So the
issue is not specific to my laptop.
I just tried the following form in internet explorer and it worked. It did
not work in incognito mode in chrome though.
    https://form.jotform.co/92098615404863

This wasn't an issue when originally set up the below form. Seems to be an
issue with it in chrome now across both forms? As mentioned, if you click
next and then go back - the widget then works and loads the PDF...
    https://form.jotform.co/90586842643870
Needing these forms to be working properly asap as we currently have
students using them to enrol into our courses.
Any suggestions to rectify this asap?
    Thanks.

    Hi,

As I check your form in Chrome, it loads the PDF, but it takes more time for some reason. To rectify the issue, I can suggest to use Iframe Embed widget instead of PDF Embedder

Once widget is replaced, you can use this link for Iframe Embed widget:

    https://shots.jotform.com/victoria/v/pdf/privacy_notice.5c6de0f7898842.47982183.pdf

Here is the form which you can test from your end: https://www.jotform.com/92961705837973

    Hi,
Thanks. I have tested this on the below form a few times (as we don't have
customers using this one at the moment) and it seemed to work fine some of
the times but then didn't work other times...?
    https://form.jotform.co/92098615404863
It appears to be a solution, however, is there a reason why I cannot use
the PDF embedder? What is causing this not to load properly straight away.
Iframe Embed widget appears much smaller - making it harder to read text.
Plus we currently us the PDF embedder widget a number of times across
multiple forms - so a number of changes to be made. This was never a
problem using this widget so I am not sure why it is now and what is
    causing this problem...
If we need to use the Iframe Embed widget, what URL can be used for these
PDF's? Can I just open any PDF as a URL and us that?
    Thanks.
    Kind regards,

    Hi,

I checked your form and tried to use the PDF embedder for the Privacy Notice on your form, and it seems working fine on my end too.

May I ask if your form is embedded in a website? If it is, may we have the link of the website where your form is located?

If it is embedded in a website, is it possible to re-embed your form using the iFrame codes? We usually advise using this method because it could prevent conflicts when the form is embedded on a third party website since the codes is called inside an iFrame.

    Hi ,
No we don't have this form on a website at all.
We just have 2 privacy notice PDF's that we need to include as part of our
    enrolment process for our students.
As mentioned there has been no issue using the PDF embedder in the past. It
now appears not to be loading unless you click on another page or click
next and go back. It seems like this is only happening on chrome?
Could this be due to the PDF file? Why would this widget not load the PDF
    straight away?
    Thanks.
