I am trying to cancel my premium membership but I can't manage to get it to change back to the free account. I've gone under "billing" and clicked to change my account to free, and it asks me to confirm that I want to cancel my membership. I go through all of those steps, yet after I click to change my account back to free, it still shows me as having a premium membership. I'm not sure what else I need to do to cancel the membership. Thanks for your response.

The account was already cancelled by you, but it will downgrade back to free on April 6
In the afternoon of that date, you'll see it back to Free.
