How to pass the data to the payment field with the Spreadsheet

    Hi, it all seems very nice but basically I didn't understand a fundamental thing;

a data base (excel) is composed principally of numbers (prices), in an order form (or product configurator with prices) how can I associate the choice (eg. check box) that the customer makes ONLY to the price that is in the excel file? This should be the first reason for wanting to integrate a database.

    Thanks

Do you want to pass the data from the Excel Sheet to the payment field? Unfortunately, that is not possible, because the Spreadsheet to Form widget does not support the payment field. Only the following fields are supported:

    🔘 Full Name

    🔘 Email

    🔘 Time

    🔘 Short Text Entry (Textbox)

    🔘 Long Text Entry (Textarea)

    🔘 Dropdown

    🔘 Single Choice (Radio Button)

    🔘 Multiple Choice (Checkbox)

    🔘 Scale Rating

    🔘 Star Rating

A workaround is to pass the data to the Checkbox field that has the same prices as your Excel Sheet and then to perform a calculation and pass the data to the payment field. Your you can pass that data to a number field, perform a calculation and pass it to the payment field.

    Hi Joanna,

no, we don't need a payment field, simply fields (dropdown, radio button, check box, ...) where I don't have to enter prices by hand like in your tutorial (image attached); it would be perfect to link the price field of the "t-shirt" to a cell of the file (spreadsheet excel or google sheet).
Is it possible in any way?

    Thanks

To clarify: you want to assign prices to the options inside the drop down, radio button and check box fields similar to the screenshot above, but by using the Spreadsheet to Form widget.

I'm afraid, that would not be possible, since this widget allows you to fill fields.

For example, with respect to your screenshot, the widget would be helpful, if the options for the Products were the prices 20, 30, 50 instead of T-shirt, Shoes and Bag.

OK Gerardw thanks for the clarifying answer.
Unfortunately it is not what we are looking for, too bad because Jotform is really nice and performing; but a spreadsheet widget that doesn't work as a reference database for the price list is a shame.
    Thanks anyway

Sorry, but this widget, would not function in that way. But let me check if there can be a workaround for your requirement.

There is no way to assign calculation values from an external file.

Please note that that you do not have to manually enter each calculation value to your form. You can simply copy-paste all prices at once.
