    What do I do wrong?

    Asked by Theo Keijzer on April 05, 2011 at 03:18 AM

    What do I do wrong?

    Yesterday evening registered on your site (thekeij@planet.nl).

    I've made a website with iWeb (www.thekeijposition.nl) and made an emailreturnform (name / emailaddress / message) with your programm.

    Copy/paste the code on the right page with a snippet (?); adapted the form a little;
    saved my site (on a local folder on my HD); visited my site (local) and tried the emailreturnform. Everything went perfect; recieved the emails via your company; so I was very happy.

    Then I uploaded my site to my server on the net and the complete form was not visible on my sight , only the message "The page cannot be found".

    What do I do wrong?

    I'll hope you can advise me so that I can solve this problem.

    Looking forward to hear from you,

    Yours truely,

    Theo Keijzer

    PS

    I've added a jpeg from a screendump. I've more if you need them.

    Hi Theo,

    Thanks for posting your issue here. There must be a slight mistake in the URL of your contact form in the webpage's source code.

    In your webpage source code, please replace the following:

    ".//contact_files/widget1_markup.html"

    with..

    "http://www.thekeijposition.nl/tkp/contact_files/widget1_markup.html"

    and your form should appear seamlessly within your website.

    Please let us know if it works or not. Thank you for using JotForm!

    Hello Theo,

    I have checked the page in question and viewed the source code but I couldn't find any of Jotform embed codes.  The 404 error or the page which cannot be found is an embedded iframe with the source:

    src=".//contact_files/widget1_markup.html"

    It seems that the jotform embed codes are inside that page but that would not load because of the extra slash [ / ].

    Solution is to remove that extra slash so it becomes

    src="./contact_files/widget1_markup.html"

    That should do it. Hope you find this information useful, and if you have further questions do not hesitate to ask again.

    Regards,

    Neil
