Approval Workflow

I'm also trying to figure out how to hide specific fields from the "Signer". When the signer submits the form back, she needs to send the form to her teacher with all fields visible. I read the whole Building Approval Work Flow, but I'm still confused if my scenario can work.

Using the GET FORM PAGE URL widget and conditions, you can achieve that requirement.
