Hello.

I've created a table to capture contact info and was hoping to have the option to check email and phone for validity. I notice there is a widget that allows for email checking but I was hoping to add the function to the existing table if possible.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to validate the email on the Input Table field. 

I would suggest using the validator widgets to validate the email and phone or use the Short Text Entry field as an alternative.
