I assume that you are referring to the file upload fields of this form: https://www.jotform.com/91745519858372. Am I correct?
If so, I can see you have set a limit of allowable file size that can be uploaded:
I have cloned your form and tried to upload a PDF file that is higher than the said limit (8mb) but it didn't crash. Instead, it only shows a message:

Currently the first file upload field is set to accept only one file and for other upload fields, the multiple file option is disabled.
However, I cloned your form and revised each file upload field to accept upto 20 files. After that I tested the form and it submitted successfully.
After that I tried downloading the PDF submission document, which downloaded fine. Please review and let us know if you facing this crashing issue while submitting the form or while downloading the PDF document.

Apologies but I'm still unable to replicate the issue.
Could you please provide the submission ID of the submissions that you mentioned to be crashing when you try to open it in the PDF Editor? Here's a guide on Where-to-Find-the-Submission-ID.
We would like to open that submission too and see if we'll experience the same error on our end.
