Missing emails from submissions.

Hello,

     There is a random occurrence of emails from submissions on my website that does not come to the email listed under the recipient field on my notification alert in my form settings.  My question is, is there a way to get confirmation that a email was successfully sent out from you to the recipient. For instance, if the submission email is in the inbox of the form, can I take that as confirmation the email was sent without errors?  What happens if the email bounces?
