Multiple submit buttons

    Hi

Is it possible to have more than one submit button, each triggering different actions?

    That is:

Scenario 1. Submit 1 is just the usual submit button

Scenario 2: Submit 2 sends the form to another user for them to complete the remainder of the form?

    Thanks

    Colm

Yes, you can add 2 submit buttons to the form and display one of the buttons at a time using conditions.

This guide will help you in displaying the fields conditionally: How-to-Show-or-Hide-Fields-Base-on-User-s-Answer

Please provide the workflow that you wish to perform if you need any further assistance.

    Hi Andrew,

    Many thanks for this.

The scenario is a school Bullying Form.

The teacher has a form with a table to log actions e.g. investigation, resolution etc.

For as long as the teacher is investigating, they need to be able to edit the form, so they can revert back via their auto-responder email. I think that they can use the 'Save As' button for this.

If the 'case' is concluded, they can click 'Submit', which could be renamed 'Case Closed'. However, if they want to pass the form on to someone else (more senior), due to the case's complexity, I wonder how best to do this. I was thinking that a second 'Submit' button, renamed 'Refer to Deputy Principal', for example, might be one way.

Would that work (if the Deputy's email was linked in the autoresponder)?

    Thanks

    Colm

    Hello Colm,

You can add a field that the teachers can update such as a Single Choice field that asks if the case is complex or not.

Then add a condition that will use the selected case as the criteria to change the email recipient of the autoresponder/email notification. Please see this guide on How-to-Send-Email-Based-on-User-s-Answer.

When it was classified as a complex case, the teacher should then submit the form. After submitting, the condition to send the email notification to the Deputy Principal will be triggered.

And since email notifications contain edit links by default, he can then edit the submission and update necessary information to the submission data.

Please try that and let us know how it goes.

    Hi
Our jotform has been blocked- we need it to run core school functions e.g. Child Protection.
We need it back up asap.
Can I talk to someone please?
    Thanks
    Colm
