Adding multiple recipients in a form without upgrading

    Good morning from the UK.

Firstly can I say what an amazing product you have here. I have made a couple of forms for my scout group now and it really is fantastic. I only wish we could afford to pay for membership to give something back but even at your fantastic offer of 50% off I still cannot justify £87 a year. As already stated we are a Non-Profit Scout group in the UK and just don't have the money for luxuries such as this.

That said back to the point. I have stumbled upon an issue whilst setting up multiple email notifications dependent on which age group they would like to contact. As i try to amend my email address on the second conditional logic it states; "To use multiple recipients, please upgrade your account". Upon clicking on the link it takes me to your sales page where it shows your fantastic sales deals. It also shows that all the accounts are pretty similar but the free account is heavily restricted to submission, number of forms etc etc. Understandable and very reasonable. But as you scroll further down reading into more details its states the following; "At JotForm, every single user (yes, even free!) has complete access to all of our features. Purchase the plan that is right for your needs, depending on how many form submissions, file upload space, and form views that you require." It is this that has confused me.

It clearly states complete access to all of our features, yet i cant use this multiple recipients feature without upgrading. Am I missing something or am I doing something wrong?

Thank you so much again and hope to hear from you soon.

All the widgets, payment integrations and other features are the same for both free and paid users. But, we revised our plans (September 2017) and one of the changes is that FREE plans cannot add multiple recipients to your notification/autoresponder.

The system was changed due to a large amount of Free accounts abusing the ability to sent many emails through forms. The result of this was the need to limit the ability of Free accounts to add more recipients.

I feel this is slightly unfair. It clearly states on your website; "At JotForm, every single user (yes, even free!) has complete access to all of our features. Purchase the plan that is right for your needs, depending on how many form submissions, file upload space, and form views that you require."

That is complete and all features.... not just widgets and payments etc.

I understand you might have your reasons but I cant find this identified anywhere.

    Our apologies for the confusion.

The ability to create a notification and add one email as the recipient is one of the features we offer. But the ability to add more recipients in an email template is restricted to paid plans recently - for the reason which was stated by my colleague.

You had access to the notification email, and that's it. But you cannot add multiple recipients without upgrading.

I tried looking for a workaround, specifically with AOL's forwarding option, but it seems like they no longer offer that through their mail system. I was trying to create a filter to forward emails based on the subject line of the email.

We have an option to personalize the subject line of the form email and include field data.

    https://www.jotform.com/help/544-How-to-Change-Email-Subject-or-Make-It-Dynamic

You can use this to add the Age Group in the subject line and filter that out on your email account. Unfortunately, AOL is no longer offering this forwarding option. Please check if you have that.

If you have Gmail, that would work.

First, you have to setup Forwarding (https://support.google.com/mail/answer/10957?hl=en).

Next, set up the filter to forward (https://support.google.com/mail/answer/6579?hl=en).

No none of these options will work with my hosting as there is no such filter/forwarding capability. Hence why I wanted to use a form to do it. My only other option  would be to create 5 separate forms but as I already have 2 forms created this would put me over my limit.

    So disappointing. 😞

I understand, and that was just a workaround if you are interested, and you will be using Gmail if you have an account with Gmail. Unfortunately, there is no other workaround for this.

How about the non-profit rate? You've asked this on your other thread, maybe go that way. The non-profit rate applies to our monthly options.

It's too expensive. We are a scout group that struggles to pay our Bill's and has to continuously fund raise to keep our heads above water and to continue helping the children of our community. I cant afford $9 a month to run a online form.

Unfortunately, that is the best discount (non-profit) we can offer you.
