Include the signature in the contract form

    2. If I wanted to include the e-signing into the contract form, what could be the optimal UX path?

The master idea is to have the user auto-create and validate his mission:

So firstly the user (our client) adds its contact and legal details to the web form.
Then how to integrate the e-signature part?

One thought I had is that
    - he could afterwards preview a blank (not filled) version of the contract using your pdf widget (I have it in the actual form)
    - then he signs it with your signature & initials widgets
    - then he receives the signed contract (by email I imagine)
and at the end he pays the advance (a standard amount we ask for every mission) via Stripe

--> mission is then validated !

    What do you think?? :)

Apologies, however, I am uncertain what exactly you meant by "validate mission" in here.

If I understand the flow correctly, you only want your users to receive a copy of the filled out form in PDF format, then as a confirmation that they agree, you would want them to sign the PDF and make the payment.

If this is the case, you can simply add the signature field and the Stripe field on your form. In addition, add a T&C widget stating that they have read and understood everything within the form.

Then on the PDF Submission report, make sure to add the T&C and Signature fields.

Upon submission, payment will be processed and a signed copy with all the inputted details will be received by them and you.

    Hi Vanessa,

sorry, the "-> validate mission"  is not a part of the form, I mean that when the whole path is finished, then I would consider the form as validated.

So, here's the UX path that I have in mind in order to get the users signature while on the form, please tell me your opinion about it :

    1. Client enters his/her legal and personal details
    2. Client enters the mission details
    3. Client, via your Pdf preview or the Terms&Conditions, previews the Contract and gives his/her consent to use digital signatures
    4. Client adds his/her signature /and initials
    5. Client pays its first instalment
    6. He/She validates and sends the form
    7. He/She automatically receives his copy of the contrat by email

Job is finished, the mission is validated !

And if he doesn't want to e-sign, then he bypasses the 4. and he signs the contract once received by email when validating the form and he sends it back to us afterwards.

Is it ok for you or you have an idea to make sth simpler?

    Thaaanks in advance :)

Thank you for the detailed information. I'll provide the information with the steps that you have mentioned.

    For 1 & 2.

Add all the fields that you want your clients to fill up the name, address, etc. from form elements.

    For 3.

Add the terms and condition widget

    For 4.

You can use any of our available signature widgets: https://www.jotform.com/widgets/search/signature

    For 5 & 6.

Add stripe Payment integration to your form and once payment is completed successfully, the form will be submitted.

    For 7.

You can set up an autoresponder that will send a copy of the filled form to your clients. Here are a few reference guides:

There is an option in the autoresponder that will allow you to send PDF copies of the filled form to clients. Hope this helps.
