Linked Images don't show up in Chrome or IE

Asked by jbs3629 on April 23, 2013 at 11:45 AM

    Hello,

I'm creating a form where I display a series of images. The image files are actually stored on dropbox and so when I create the image field in Jotform, is simply input the public dropbox link as the 'image source'. This works like a charm for the Safari web browser. However, for Chrome or IE (haven't tried Firefox yet) the images aren't being displayed. They only show a small icon. I can even right click and save the image. It just isn't being displayed for some reason (in the attached image, see Safari on the left and Chrome on the right).

    Help!

    Thanks,

    Justin

    Hi,

I have checked the form and was able to replicate on the said problem. However, when I checked the image file it appears that when viewing it using Chrome or IE it will require to be viewed with a Quicktime Player. Thus, only those with a QuickTime Player installed on their browser will be able to view the said file automatically.

I suggest you to change the image file that you currently have which is .tif to another image file format which is accepted by all of the browsers without any problem.

    Hope this helps. Thank you.
