    Made a field required based on a previous answer

    Asked by saintmaryindy on April 23, 2013 at 05:29 PM

    Hi,

    Is it possible to make a field required only if a certain question prior (or on the form at all) is selected? I have searched the conditional information but have not been able to find the solution.

    Thanks!

    Thank you for contacting us.

    We do not have any condition that can set/remove required status from the field.

    The workaround is to Show/Hide required field based on conditional logic. Please see the following example:

    Thanks. I guess it is working as intended. What I understand, if the field is hidden (but marked as required), there won't be an error when the user submits the form without the hidden field filled out.

    @saintmaryindy

    Yes, that's right. When a required field is hidden, it won't ask any valid entry unless it's seen on the form.

    Let us know if you have further questions. Thank you!
