Adding gap to timer of 45 minutes

Asked by deluca on April 25, 2013 at 06:19 AM

    Hello,

I would like to create an ordering form, the problem is that I need a security in the form that do not let the user order something from 45 minutes form the order itself, otherwise, deliveries will be impossible to deal with....

Any idea how to do this please?

    Thank you,

    Ben

    Hi again Ben

If you mean that you don't want a user to be able to submit another order within 45 minutes, there's no tool in the form builder for that. The best workaround I can currently think of would be to implement one or both of the following:

    Unique Submissions

    Unique Question

It might be feasible to accomplish the specific functionality you want if the form is embedded into a web page but so far my searches on the internet have turned up nothing.

    Hello,

Thank you but it is not what I was looking for.

No problem, I will try to find a way around.

    Regards,

Unfortunately, this is not currently possible with Jotform.. You could try using a function called Session but it would require a bit  of customization on your page. You can try checking this link for reference.

    Hello,

    I think you misunderstood me.

I am not looking to stop users from posting again in a time frame of 45 minutes but instead have 45 minutes added to the timer counter so we have enough time to make the food and deliver it to them.

For example, if now it is 7pm, we would like to have the user to only have the choice of ordering from 7.45pm onward and not before.

In fact the ordering time will need to be the same apart that it has to have + 45 mins each time.

    Regards,

    Ben

By creating a session through your page, the page where you have embedded the form will automatically be disabled/inaccessible.  The time expiration time you require would require a lot of customization.

An alternative way you can do this is by setting a submission limit and manually activating the form after each delivery.
