I have websites that are using paypal now with no ssl certificate needed as transaction all takes place at PayPal.  I also have client using authorize.net for transactions, and we needed to put ssl certificate on his website to have ssl show.  Does the transaction take place on my website or does it leave like simple PayPal site?

    Thanks,

    Lee

    Hi Lee,

You actually need both if you'd like to have a high level of security within your page. Actually what most important is the SSL for the transaction where the CC data and payment will be processed. If you are going to use Authorize.net on your form then I would highly recommend enabling https (SSL) on your form. We do support secure form here (https://secure), here's how to get your secure form URL. This would ensure you that the form will be securely processed by our reliable 256 bit High-grade SSL encryption. I believed the form will be processed directly on your page since Authorize.net has built in CC fields, therefore it can process payments directly on your form.
