Email notifications not working with iframes

Asked by artcentersf on April 29, 2013 at 04:45 PM

I have two forms - one with general form questions and an embedded iframe for 2 different methods of paypal payments.  When person registers I only get the notification from paypal iframe form regarding payment and none of the users information from general  form.

    General form is -30773963244156

    iFrame form is - 30655944098161

This is now my 4-5th email relating to same setup.  I have redone form over 1/2 dozen different ways per jotform support and again this is still not working.  My client has been getting reqistrations in 32 different methods and with no success for a 100 % fix.  Please help fix this once and for all..

From what I have checked so far, you actually have 3 forms -- 2 of them are within the General form.

    The 3 forms are:

    1.General Form -- http://www.jotform.us/form/30773963244156

    2. New Member Payment -- http://www.jotform.us/form/30655733674157

    3. Non Member Payment -- http://www.jotform.us/form/30655944098161

(Please correct me if I am wrong on what I have checked)

When person registers I only get the notification from paypal iframe form regarding payment and none of the users information from general  form.

This is correct. And nothing is wrong with your forms setup.

When a user uses the iframe form  and submit the form... it actually is a stand-alone form.

Every time the user uses the 2 forms inside the General form, the user is actually using the direct URL of the 2 forms. Just like the URL of the 3 forms I listed above.

As you can see, your General Form does not have any submit button... you will not actually be able to capture any data from your General form, because it is also separate from the 2 forms inside it that have submit button.

The suggestion I can give you is to use the technique used on this guide

Using this guide, you will be able to capture the proper informaion (Names, Address.. etc) from the General Form, and at the same time capture the Paypal data also.

Hope this help. Please don't hesitate to inform us anytime should you need further clarification and assistance. We will be more than glad to help you.
