Automatic System - removed option from dropdown field lists

Asked by rupertg on May 01, 2013 at 10:14 PM

This one is a little bit tricky but i wonder jotform probably should have a way around it :

So, what i would want is the following :

I sell online reservations and they have different dates on a dropdown, the clients can choose the dates(eg: 15may 2013, 17th May 2013, 19th May 2013 etc.)

But the maximum limit is 15 persons per date.

I want an automated system where if a particular date has hit 15 reservations, it automatically gets closed and removed from the drop down list of dates.

    Please advise

    Hi,

To be able to achieve your idea on the form -- it will require you to use the form's source code and then create a separate program using Javascript to automate the elimination process for the drop down dates on the list.

It will probably be doable on the form builder, if the elimination part is not included. No need to remove the filled dates. You can pre-populate a field (checkbox field) using the URL parameter technique... so, those filled dates should be not included anymore.

I'll try if I can come up such form usin the form builder only. I will try get back if I have this form.

    Thanks.
