We want to use a form to update member details such as resume, address, etc. We like having the folder per submission, but would like to get rid of old submissions by the same member when a new one is done.
The ask is (since Google Drive creates multiple folders with the same name) to delete existing folder(s) with the name that's about to be created before the new one is created, and have it (as I'm sure some people would prefer the existing functionality) as a checkbox one can turn on while setting up the integration.
Alternatively, check if a folder with the name that's about to be created already exists and add _N to it, where N is a number.
Alternatively, add the timestamp string to the folder name.
Keep up the great JotForm functionality coming!

Thank you for taking time contact us.
I have forwarded your request feature on Google drive folder integration feature to our next level support. We will have to wait for approval if it can be immediately added to request lists.
We will update you.

Thanks for your suggestion,
Drive Integration is updated to add timestamp to the beginning of submission foldername. We preferred to go with this option, not to add more complexity to the integration wizard. Hope that works well for you and feel free to contact us when you have more suggestions.

I just tried this, and from what I see the folder name didn't change, but the submission filename changed from submission.pdf to "<timestamp> - <chosen_field>".
The folder issue is not yet resolved as there are still 2 folders with the same name. The change you describe would be a big improvement, though adding the timestamp to the end would be better, as being in the beginning means sorting by the field (full name in our case) is not possible.

Thanks for your feedback. What I did with the last update was to add timestamp and relevant fields only if the user selects no specific fields for foldername(auto naming). But your suggestion makes more sense. I just updated the naming to add the timestamp even if you select a fieldname from the dropdown. Hope this is what you are looking for.
Also, the fix will not update already existing folders' names (we don't want to mess with thousands of integration already in use), It will work only for new submissions you receive now on.
Appreciate your feedback really ;)
have a nice day

Thanks, those quick turnarounds are awesome :-)
However, putting the timestamp at the end would be better as that way the chosen field is essentially the first sort field, and the timestamp helps when there are multiple submissions with the same field value.
Again, thanks for listening.

We used to sort everything by a form field titled "Property Address" but now that the time stamp is in place, we lost our ability to group. When will the change to showing the time stamp at the end of the field name go into effect? Is there a way to go back to not including the time stamp? With Google Drive, we already know the timestamp based on when the file was created, i.e. the next column over in Detail View in the file manager.

Thank you for the latest response. Our developer (canerbalci) have recieved also your latest message. He will get back to us once he's back online. I will also forward your message to make sure he got it.
I understand what you meant. For now, the latest update that includes time stamp before the folder name is in effect and cannot be altered from the form builder.
May request though that you create a separate topic/post for your question. Please use this link
and we will attend to your post as soon as we can.

You are right, and I am sorry for messing up your integration. I will revert the change now.
Instead of messing users' integrations, I think I need to add an option to the integration wizard to enable/disable timestamp in folder names. As I said above, I am reverting the change for now, I will have the chance to implement that option in integration wizard in a few days.
