I need more clarification as to when to introduce the autoresponder.

I tested the form I created with a verified email address and submitted the code and received a "your email has been successfully verified" response. But if I hit the submit button it goes to a Thank You page saying they received my submission.

But at the point that I hit the submit button I should have been hitting the download button which I understand is in the autoresponder widget. I can't for the life of me understand where I add the link to the form that gets them to a page where I can say thank you and give them the download.

I don't know why I am having such a hard time understanding this. Can you dumb it down for me so I can get this done?

At the point that the person enters their validation code and finds out they're email has been verified, I want them to be allowed to download what they wanted.

Can you please explain your requirements in detail?

The form does not have any files to be downloaded by the user, what files do you offer for your users to download?

    Looking forward to your response.

Attached is my original mockup of the offer I'd like to give.
When I first wrote to Jotform I was told I needed first to verify the email.
So I have created that (also attached).
But now that they have gone to their email and copy/pasted the code they
received and verified their email address,
they need to be able to have a link that takes them to the page that allows
them to download a 9-page pdf file of the free giveaway checklist guide.
I cannot for the life of me understand what I am to do next.
The explanations I received were too general in nature and didn't dumb it
down enough for me to make it clear what I am to do next.
They see the offer, they submit their first name and email address, I
verify that that email address is valid and now I'd like them to be able to
download what they came to get.
Please help me to understand what I do to get that done in easy to
    understand language.
    Thank you.

You need to update your autoresponder email and enable the Attach a File feature. After that, you need to upload the file you want the user to download. Here's a screencast guide that you can follow:

To test this after attaching a file, you need to submit the form. Also, you need an Email field added to your form so the autoresponder email will work properly.
