Rental booking form with deposit and multiple payments

Is it possible to create a form for rental booking which has the option to pay in full or make a deposit payment and then make multiple payments over a period of time? I would also need the form/s to send notifications prior to specific payment due dates. (something like two weeks before, a week before and the day before payment is due).

Hello @islanddesign - To clarify, you would want to create a form that allows the user to pay in full or multiple payments over a period of time. Please see the following guides below.

    Guide: How-to-Setup-a-Recurring-Payment-Option

    Guide: How-to-Set-up-PayPal-Along-with-Other-Payment-Options

May I also know which payment integration you are going to use in your form so we can check if the auto send email is possible or not?

    Looking forward to your response.

Thanks. We plan on using Stripe.

Hello @islanddesign - Since you plan to use Stripe, you can enable sending email notifications to your customers under additional gateway settings of the stripe payment setting.

Thank you. I have a question relating to the actual payments.

The payments will not be equal and so, setting up a subscriber payment plan would not work. Can a payment plan like this be setup?

Payment 1 of $795 is due now in order to reserve the dates.

Payment 2 of $795 is due on or before April 1, 2020.

Payment 3 of $795 is due on or before July 1, 2020.

Payment 4 of $1295 is due on or before September 1, 2020, and includes a refundable $500

I made a demo form for you, here's the link: https://form.jotform.com/200218145503038

Please submit the form using your email address you can receive the autoresponder.

Please give it a try and let us know if that could meet your requirements.

The next question was about a different feature. We will resolve it on another thread here https://www.jotform.com/answers/2176827

Regarding my original question and the demo form, you guys created on January 22...

Is it possible to have the autoresponder emails sent on dates that are passed over from this email instead of hardcoded in the conditional statements?

Is it possible to have the autoresponder emails sent on dates that are passed over from this email instead of hardcoded in the conditional statements?

Please take note that the Send Emails Later function on the Autoresponder Email is not base on conditions. It is a built in function in the Autoresponder.

It is not the same as the Form Reminder Emails as well.

...have the autoresponder emails sent on dates that are passed over from this email..

Can you please elaborate more on this. Which email you meant by "passed over from this email" ?

We will check again once we get a better understanding of the requirements.

My apologies, I didn't send the link. Let me explain...

    - Please see the original question asked in this thread. My client will be filling out this form (https://form.jotform.com/200529244956055) with the number of nights to be rented, nightly rate,
damage deposit, and the number of payments.

    - This then calculates installment payment amounts which will be passed to another form that the renter will be notified to make payments.

    - I need to notify the renters that payments are due two weeks before, a week before and the day before

Thank you for providing us with clearer details of the requirements.

I checked the form and I see Due Dates data.

If I understand correctly now, the due Dates can be use to trigger the Autoresponder Email scheduled email.

Can you confirm first also that the Due Dates data will be used to send the scheduled emails(autoresponder)?

In the scheduled Autoresponder email feature, you can use the date from the existing date data in the form.

You can add multiple Autoresponder on the form and set the sending schedules base on the due date fields data.

Please let us know if I misunderstood what you wanted to do.

    Hello again.

This form is the form my client will be filling out and submitting https://form.jotform.com/200529244956055

The customers will be sent to a form that will only provide them with something like the demo your colleague
    created
https://form.jotform.com/200532654633955 - This is the form that will need to be scheduled to send.
    (
I need to notify the renters that payments are due two weeks before, a week before and the day before each payment is due)

You can use insert/update conditional logic to create due data date pickers, please check this demo form: https://form.jotform.com/20053793495405815825126552weeks Screenshot 10
You can then create a new autoresponder that will be sent based on the due date.
