How do I go about using the same information from previous form to a new form?

    Hello,

The Forms i create are for a local sailing Club, and in most cases           in any year the form to be completed is  nearly 100% the same as a form a member has already completed earlier in the year.

So the question is if a club member is directed to one of your forms to complete for an event , which is similar to a form that he has already completed is there a way that the club member can call up the completed form and then just edit the fields that need to be changed

    thx

Since it is a different form, I would suggest utilizing our Spreadsheet to Form widget on the new form to fetch the previous data.

    https://www.jotform.com/help/442-How-to-Use-the-Spreadsheet-to-Form-Widget

All you have to do is to download the submissions from the previous form as excel, add a new column for the Unique Code, replace the field labels on the excel to match the labels on the new form.

For the Unique Code, I would suggest copying the email address column. That way, they'll be unique since people already know it from their previous entry.

The only issue here is that the spreadsheet to form widget does not support all types of fields that we have.

Kindly check and let us know if you need further assistance.
