Payment Wizard: Be able to add a condition to each productAsked by Jospice on May 09, 2013 at 07:59 AM
the form in question http://form.jotformpro.com/form/31203727341949?
Three adults and two children want to attend my event (forget team registration but it will also be used there). I currently offer t-shirt size as an option but am unable to work out how to offer different sizes within the payment section (there is no charge for a t-shirt only for registration).
How would jotform best handle this request?
Hi Andy, you have it partially right. If you want the T-Shirt to be Free you can offer it either inside the Products or outside of it. Based on what you mentioned to keep everything inside the Products Field one way you can do this is to separate the Registration Fee from the T-Shirt. You can set up the pricing for the Registration Fee to offer a price and a quanity for that option then for the T-Shirt Option set the price to " 0.00 " so that it is free and include a quanity and your custom sizing option.
Please see this form for a demo of this - http://form.jotform.us/form/31283762559159. Please let me know if this is something that will work out for you and clone it if you like it otherwise I can try to tweak it some more if needed.
Hi thanks for looking into this for me, and that was something i considered but was unable to figure out how to offer a second selection ie 2 small and 1 large within that area.
Would this have to be done outside of the current payment box?
No problem Andy. I think I may be confused then. I'm not quite sure I understand where you are going with the " 2 small " and " 1 large " ? That is pretty much already met with the sizing and quantity together for the T-Shirt.
Can you please explain this in more detail so that I can better understand what you are trying to achieve so that we can see about trying to put this more together for you?
hi sorry for sounding confusing
i would like them to enter a number (lets say 3) in the registration quantity box. i would then like them to be able to select the number of t-shirts required, again 3, however if they select 2 small there is then no way of them letting me know the third t-shirts size if it differs from the original selection.
would this best be handle outside of a payment section despite being a bit of a ball ache??
Hello, it's not your fault. I think maybe I misunderstood your question.
Do you mean something more along the lines of this http://form.jotform.us/form/31284801270144 ? Would this work better for you maybe?
Thats a good workaround for sure and I can then add the other payment options without needing to re-add the t-shirt ask.
thanks ofr all your help on this one :-)
Are there any plans to add the conditions within each option of the paymeny wizard and generally to allow your conditiond to the equal to less than so on on to another field rather than a value? Or is this already in place and I just havent figured it out yet.
this is the finished payment wizard just incase it can aid anyone else
Glad to hear that the workaround that was provided worked for you :)
As for the said feature, as of now it is not possible. However, I will try to submit this to our feature request list and hopefully, our developers can integrate this in the future.
I was looking at the form demo'd above by Jospice
Will it total automatically, and then the total is passed thru to PayPal (or other payment device)...
Are the items listed on the PayPal side, or only a total?
We use this quite succesfully and my re-collection of designing the form is it totals and you get a breakdown on paypal. it is a live form so please feel free to enter some data on it.
