    How to Hide a field but keep the value?

    Asked by Timcross86 on May 11, 2013 at 07:17 AM
    I've linked one form http://form.jotformeu.com/form/31276095338357? To another form http://form.jotformeu.com/form/31215891454353? And auto populated some fields using URL. I want to hide the Full Name and Postcode fields but keep the value when they are submitted. So far I have tried using the conditional rules but the values disappear with the fields.

    Having cloned your forms and run some tests, I discovered that whereas the Postcode is being passed from the first form to the second okay, the Full Name isn't. That's because the latter is a compound field consisting of two text boxes in the first form but only one in the second. To correct this, please do the following:

    1. In the second form, change the label of the Full Name field to First Name, duplicate the field and then change the duplicate's label to Last Name:

    2. In the first form, change the thank you URL to http://www.mybusinessutilities.com/electricity-meter-information.html?businessName1={businessName}&businessName={businessName}&businessName31={supplier}&firstName={fullName32:first}&lastName={fullName32:last}&postcode1={businessName29}

    3. Save the form

    Once you make the above changes, the hidden values will be displayed in the second form's submission records. However, it appears that both form's notifications are not working correctly. The simplest remedy for this would be to just delete both of them and replace them with new ones.

    Do let us know if you need further assistance.

    Thanks.
