Automatically populating fields from Google sheets or Previous Data

    Hi

We do campaigns where we ask our customers to bring over their coupons for scanning and we show multiple scans each day, but we also use this as a source to collect customer data. The problem is that we are having a very hard time with repopulating data from previous entries. We are losing alot of time and entries because we have to manually update Excel files each time after new customers register.

We have been using your service for a long time, and I don't see why this is unachievable. I really don't want to look for any alternative solution but this has become a constant issue, where we might have to look for another service that enables this for us.

We also don't want to program anything for this because we are using the mobile app for scanning and registering.

Can there be a fix for this!?

    Please let me know.

Greetings and thank you for your message.

We are sorry to hear that you are having problems with our service.

Can you please elaborate on what it is that you require? If I understood you correctly from this and previous message you've sent, you want to populate some fields in the form using the existing Google Spreadsheet?

    Thank you for your clarification.

Hi, unfortunately, there is no way to populate data into the form fields from Google Sheets. It is only possible to populate data from an Excel file: https://www.jotform.com/help/442-How-to-Use-the-Spreadsheet-to-Form-Widget

However, it requires to upload a new file is there are new entries.

It is not possible to populate data from existing entries. There is a method to populate the same form URL with previous entries, but this requires doing a submission first after the method has been set up: https://www.jotform.com/help/351-How-to-Automatically-Pass-Form-Data-to-Another-Form

So, let say I do a submission today(now that the URL parameters have been set up), the data will be passed via URL parameters to the same form URL which I can receive through an Autoresponder notification, so when I attempt to submit a new entry, I can use that prepopulated link to avoid having to fill all the information again.
