Is It Possible To Auto Submit Form when Upload Completes?Asked by Chrismixx on April 14, 2011 at 02:00 AM
I have an upload form that uplaods to my dropbox on my website for clients to send in their files for me....Thhe way it seemed I have to setiti up is to where they have to wait for the upload to finish and then ALSO click the submit button at the bottom...
Now I know I have other fields in there that require the submit button...but it seemed like the submit button was mandatory, am I wrong? can I just put an upload tool on a form woth out a submit button?
Page In Question: http://www.chrismixxproductions.com/p/upload-files.html
Basically I want it to be like a traditional upload site where they can take care of everything at the start when they initiate the download...cause most people dont realize they need to press the button after it uploads...
If its not possible in jotform, does anyone know if it is availabale to have an upload widget such as what i described to upload files directly to dropbox?
Unfortunately, there is not a way to Auto-Submit a form when upload completes, at least not now. I have submitted a previous ticket for this request feature but like what has been stated in this forum, we cannot give a promise that we can implement a request right away, as we get a lot of user requests everyday and our developers do not have the luxury of time to implement everything.
I understand you're worried about losing potential conversions from your form. For what it's worth, I'd like to suggest that you build your form around our Sample Dropbox Forms. Forms built using that integration tool have it so that the user cannot close your form or go to another site without receiving a warning that they should have the upload finished first.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you have further questions.
