    Incorrect Unique ID

Asked by humanix on May 13, 2013 at 07:41 AM

Each submission receives the value 1628

but it should be a sequential number to the be the text "Bewerbung-".

also has until 10 May work, all subsequent submissions get the value 1628.

    There are two directories created
one with the correct Unique (Bewerbung-001672) and
    of the 1628

    Integration with DropBox

    Thank you
    Manfred

    Problem is almost solved,
Display in the submission is ok now.

What are the file attachments does not work

Is on my side in the source code
    http://www.pmsz.at/Blitzbewerbung.html

    <input type=hidden class="form-hidden" value="1677" id="input_38" name="q38_nummer" />

The value remains the same in 1677,
there is a directory created in 1677 and saved each file attachment in

The value can not also be changed from as it is fixed in my html file.

in the source code of course, is the current value of 1681
    http://form.jotform.com/form/20451458929

This has worked since February 2012, regardless of the value in the hidden field was the attachments were always in the correct place now since a few days it stops working,

    Ask for testing my problem
    Thank you Manfred

Hello Manfred, I've done some further digging into your form and based on your problems I've realized a few things that I would like to point out to you about your form.

    (1) Problem is almost solved, Display in the submission is ok now.

I checked the submission of data via your form and it appears to be accepting data appropriately based on the current setup you have created on your form since all the information was received when I sent a test submission while testing it to double check. The only field that I didn't get to work is " Job # (Job Nr.) " which after looking at the setup.

Have you done something to modify this field to reject input for this?

    (2) What are the file attachments does not work.

On the contrary I was able to get this field to work with no problem. I think you may be unable to attach files due to the specifications you have involved in the field which are therefore rejecting files you are uploading. It is currently set up to limit several filetypes and only allow up to 1mb of data to be attached so this is probably the reason behind this issue as at first I was having trouble with it until I realized this was the setup associated with the file upload field for your form. You may want to consider allowing more filetypes and increasing the upload size to prevent this problem from having a chance of causing problems due to the high limitation setting.

File Successfully Attached while meeting Current Form Specifications:

    (3) Is on my side in the source code http://www.pmsz.at/Blitzbewerbung.html

I'm not quite sure I understand this part as an issue but if you've done anything to modify it then there is a chance this could cause problems with your form if a change was made incorrectly to your form.

    (4) <input type=hidden class="form-hidden" value="1677" id="input_38" name="q38_nummer" />. The value remains the same in 1677, there is a directory created in 1677 and saved each file attachment in the value can not also be changed from as it is fixed in my html file. In the source code of course, is the current value of 1681 http://form.jotform.com/form/20451458929.

After inspecting your form some more I can see the hidden field within the source code but it appears to be set up correctly. I didn't see the mentioned " 1677 " anywhere, I could only see the specified.

Where are you seeing 1677 at? Was this changed at some point or? That may be the result of this issue with the value being different. It should only show and start with what you've set it to so if you changed it, the value will be different as well if previously something else. Additionally if you've embedded the form's source code that would cause a difference to occur as well so you would have to re-embed it to see the affected change. But currently it appears to be matching and correct.

    (5) This has worked since February 2012, regardless of the value in the hidden field was the attachments were always in the correct place now since a few days it stops working,

I think this may be a related cause if changed as mentioned in my answer to number 4 where a re-embed should help correct this. I'm not quite sure what you mean by attachments though. Did you mean the uploaded file attachment? That should not affect this field since it is hidden.

To get into the Dropbox Folder it is usually on your Desktop if you've Installed and Synced it to your Desktop if that is what you meant or you can also log into your Dropbox Account and view this in the associated JotForm > Form Folder Name. We don't have a physical Dropbox Folder here on your JotForm Account. Instead, the way the Integration works is that it copies the data and files which are then sent to your Dropbox Account.

Additionally it is also possible to go into your Submissions Control Panel and use the " Dropbox Manager " to modify the Form Submissions Output such as the Submission Name or ID and then specify it based on certain provided fields.

Sorry I did not know that at the two DropBox folder upload are possible.
How was set just one folder was possible

Results of my tests with file upload
    management integration
Folder Name = Name and Surname
Exented Folder Name = Job #
    DropBox
    1 x Folder = Hans Maier - 270

    second test
Folder Name = Name and Surname
    Exented FolderName = number
    DropBox
    1 x Folder = Hans Maier - 1695 (with upload files)
    1 x Folder = Hans Maier - 1696 (with PDF file)

in all fields it works, just not with the number pad = Unique ID

    Do you understand me?

    Thank you

The second folder name was added not long ago.

Do you mean that the following setup is not working fine on your form? Is this creating two Dropbox folders per one submission?

    Thank you.
