Exclude fields from PDF

When someone submits a form, a PDF is generated. Is there a way to exclude some fields from the PDF, but keep them in the form submission?

    Thanks.

You can update your PDF document and remove the fields you do not want to show in the PDF document.

Yes, form submission won't be affected by hiding the fields in the PDF documents.

Please try it and let us know if you need further help. Thank you.

Thank you, Vincent. Yes, I know about that, but this is not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a way to exclude it at the generation stage. So it's created already without some fields. Because the PDF is created with form submission, not the one I can download from the dashboard.

Before it was possible - when I removed some checkpoints in the Submissions view, those fields were not included in future PDF.

The only way to exclude some of the fields in your PDF document is to delete fields that you do not want to display in the PDF.

    Here's the guide: How-to-Customize-PDF-Submissions-Report

The PDF generated once the form is submitted is the PDF report/document, it is customizable and will not affect your form submissions.

    Thank you.

But you suggest editing a PDF that already exists. Here's what I'm looking for - once a form submitted, a separate folder is created on Google Drive (via Zapier), where all attachments and the form in PDF format are located. So I need that PDF doesn't include some fields.

    I hope this clear :)

How about creating a new PDF document/template? And send the newly created PDF to google drive via Zapier.

Is your form integrated with google drive? If so, I'm not sure if this will work, but if you can select the PDF document with Zapier integration then it might work. If not, then there is no way to achieve that.

Creating a new PDF document is the only way to send a PDF document with excluded fields.

I think my colleague means that you try creating a new PDF document.

You can create multiple PDF documents - You can have a different style for each document, different data to show for each document, etc.

yes, but this allows me create a PDF of existing submission. I have to explain for the third time - I need to exclude fields from a PDF that is created once the form submitted. I just want some fields not included there.

    it was possible before.

I created a screencast to better explain the workaround I'm suggesting.

If you want to exclude some fields then you can just delete those fields in the newly created PDF document.

In my screencast, I deleted the name field in my newly created PDF document because I didn't want to be seen. If you delete the fields in the PDF document, you can still see all the data in another PDF document, or to your form submissions page.

Can you please check and let us know if this is not what you need?

Deleting the fields in the PDF template/document is the only way to exclude the fields.

    Thank you!

Thank you very much for your help, guys. It worked from the beginning, just, I didn't realize that if I edit the PDF, it will be applied to further submissions.

You were very helpful, thank you!
