    Is it possible to add a search and add function to a Purchase order?

    Asked by RJSK on May 14, 2013 at 07:48 AM

    Hi.

    I am looking to create an online order form, currently using the 'Purchase order' function, but my item list is rather long.

    Is it possible to do this as a hidden product list, and to have a search button with an add to quote function, so the user can search "300 Base" to find any item that includes their search words in the description, and then allow them to add it to a quote?

    Can you think of a better way for me to add an online order form without having such a long list of items on one page, but still have a grand total at the end?

    Regards

    @RJSK

    I don't think you can have a search feature on your products. But if you have categories then we can provide you with some workaroud to show/hide products. This will require you to download your form's source code and write some custom javascript to achieve your desired functionality.

    Let us know if you are okay with this.

    Thanks,

    Sidharth

    Hi. Thank you.

    Unfortunately, I have not yet created the full list on the form, as I didn't want to add them all only to have to re do it all. Would it be best to add them to the form or enter all the details onto an excel spreadsheet - can I upload spreadsheets?

    Regards

    @RJSK

    I will have to download your form's source code to be able to implement the category based filter of your products. That means if the complete list of products are not added in your form, i may not be able to proceed.

    Please add all the products in your form and send us the list which products comes under which category.

    Thanks,

    Sidharth
